About this game

Overview

Bullet Hell is a classic vertical shmup you can play in the browser—dodge dense danmaku, clear enemy waves, and face staged bosses. Weave with Arrow keys or WASD, lay down fire, then lean on slow-motion and screen-clear bombs when the patterns tighten. Stages shift enemy mixes and drop health, bombs, and weapon upgrades as you push the score. Built for desktop keyboard play: no account, no download, offline in the tab.

Tips

  • Save bombs for the densest screens—each clear also grants brief invulnerability.
  • Slow-motion has a cooldown; use it to read a pattern, then dodge normally.
  • Pick up health, bombs, and dual/triple-fire drops when you can—points items feed the multiplier chase.
  • Dying restarts the current stage only; cleared stage progress and that stage’s starting score are kept.

Features

  • Vertical danmaku stages with wave clears and bosses
  • Slow-motion dodge and screen-clear bombs
  • Pickup upgrades: health, bombs, dual and triple fire
  • Dual control layouts: Arrow+Z/X/C or WASD+B/N/M
  • Stage retry on death without wiping whole-run progress

FAQ

Does it play well on a phone?
This listing is desktop-oriented. Use a keyboard—touch is not the primary control scheme.
What happens when I die?
The current stage reloads and your score returns to that stage’s starting value. Earlier cleared stages stay cleared.
