About this game
Overview
Chess is a classic strategy board game you can play instantly in the browser. Choose vs Computer (you play White; the AI replies as Black) or 2 Players on the same device. Drag a piece or tap it and then a square—castling, en passant, and promotion are supported. Built for short, rules-complete sessions on desktop or phone.
Tips
- A pawn that reaches the last rank opens a picker: queen, rook, bishop, or knight.
- Castle by moving the king two squares toward a rook—the rook jumps automatically.
- Hover or select a piece to highlight legal targets before you commit.
- Undo takes back one ply in 2 Players, or your move plus the AI reply in vs Computer.

FAQ
- Can two people play on the same device?
- Yes. Choose 2 Players in the side panel and take turns as White and Black on the same device. There is no online matchmaking.
- Can I change difficulty or play as Black vs the computer?
- There is no difficulty picker. In vs Computer you always play White; the AI plays Black.
- Can I play on a phone?
- Yes. Tap a piece then a square to move. On a computer you can also drag pieces.
